No yarn or knitting needles here! Instead, this is an evening to practice crafting spells and enhancing your magic practice in a cozy and laidback collaborative environment. All you need is an open mind, a welcoming heart, and a sense of curiosity and you’ll find your place right at home.
When you come to Craft Night you can expect a place to share what you’ve been playing with in your personal magick practice, what you’re interested in, and a chance to learn about methods of crafting spells and practicing magick in a safe, supportive environment.
We will start the evening with brief introductions, time to recount the latest magick we have been working, and we will partake in a brief group meditation before we get to work for the night. For the first few meetings Bri and Gina will be choosing the topic we are working on with space for the topic to develop as we move through the evening, eventually we will decide as a group what we want to work on next!
With that said, while there is plenty of room for zeal and curiosity there is no space for judgement, exclusivity, shame, or requirement to participation.
Participation is never required, so just do what you’re comfortable with and you’re always reserved the space to sit back and observe. It is also completely free.
LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
We will meet at 6 pm at Namu off of 15-501 in Durham which is located where Straw Valley used to be. Once you turn into the New Hope Valley complex follow the service road and it’ll be on your left.
If you plan to order food or drinks plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can all be nibbling while we chat at the beginning.
ABOUT THE HOSTS
Gina is a tarot reader and teacher at her business, Incandescent Tarot. She loves to bond with others over a love of intuition, energy, and magick and believes that we all have an innate connection to these things as humans, no matter our backgrounds or belief systems. When not reading tarot, you can find her frolicking with her large menagerie of creatures (three dogs, a cat, a pigeon, and a fish) or watching cheesy horror movies.
Bri is a Reiki practitioner and metaphysical writer for her community-focused and story-based blog, Tadpole Magic. Access to magickal resources is a huge priority for Bri and wants everyone to have the chance to connect to the intuition and magick that is around them and that they hold within themselves. She is also invested in the respectful and accurate documentation of modern witchcraft and runs an oral history project called the Origin Story Project. Otherwise, she is an ice cream lover, weightlifter, and matcha devotee.
